About This Blog

A few years ago, at the urgings my family, I agreed to write a memoir which would span the 30 years from my birth, to the day my wife and I were married.

Iā€™m on track to complete the memoir in 2021, but in the meantime wanted to share some selected stories, photos and video by means of this blog. For the moment, the blog is being made available only to family members and a handful of friends, people who were familiar with my immediate family and who may be able to help me elaborate on any of these recollections.

Bringing this memoir to fruition has involved a number of talented contributors. They include: former Dartmouth College professor and friend of mine, Joe Medlicott, PhD, who has volunteered his talents as top editor; my son Ian, who oversees the technical and research process; and, my wife Bea, who serves as first-reader and my "Jiminy Cricket."

I encourage all of you to share with me any relevant family stories, impressions, comments, photos or questions that might add to this memoir. Thanks very much.

About Me

Having retired from a financial career in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Portsmouth, my wife, Bea and I settled in Hanover, NH.

I am now in the process of writing a memoir of family stories from my childhood, interesting tales that might otherwise be lost in time. This blog is comprised of several selections from this yet to be finished compendium.

In the months ahead, I shall be posting more of these stories on this site.
